What people like about UWorld
UWorld is known for its explanations. When you miss a question, it walks through why the right answer is right and why each wrong answer is wrong. That's the part worth copying, because understanding your misses is where most score gains come from.
The trade-off is price. At about $149 for 90 days, it's one of the more expensive options for a student paying out of pocket.
Cheaper alternatives, and what you give up
Free: Bluebook's full-length tests are official, and Khan Academy's lessons are solid. What you give up is volume. Once you've done the official tests, there's no fresh full-length test left.
StudyPebble: $19.99 a month or $129 a year. Every practice question has a written explanation, missed questions go into a mistake bank to retry, and the full-length adaptive practice test is free and unlimited. Other paid options in September 2026 included R.test at about $15 to $19 a month and LearnQ from about $59 a year.
How to choose
If you have 3 months or more and money isn't a concern, UWorld is a fine choice. If price matters, try the free options first, then compare the cheaper paid apps by trying ten questions on each. You'll know quickly which one's explanations actually make sense to you.
